Village 7 Swim Club savior brings back life to Community in Colorado Springs

There are communities in each city, specifically in different areas within the city. It serves as an impressive channel for families to interact, bond and help each other. But for all of this, they need an exclusive place where they can have fun simultaneously such as a community park or coffee shop. Village 7 Swim Club was one of the very popular places, opened in 1970, which became the medium of summer fun every year for all the families. Unfortunately at the end of the summer in 2011, it closed.

Jacque Thurman, now being the centre of attraction, took up the initiative to bring back the Swim Clun to life. She now plans to reopen it on June 21. Although it was a very difficult task knowing the condition of the pool, she still somehow managed to accomplish her wish through dedication and motivation of helping out the community. When the neighbors found out about it, they were exceptionally thrilled as they would have some activity other than going to a coffee house or doing house painting in Colorado Springs and are now waiting eagerly more than ever to see it full with cheerful families and kids. It was the neighbors’ exhilaration which helped her and her husband to overcome all the hurdles in making this project possible. http://www.conewsfeed.com/colorado-springs/side-streets-colorado-springs-woman-rescues-community-swimming-pool/

In the two years where no one came in or out and was completely closed for all, vandals destroyed the premises by shattering the windows and all the glass of lockers and sauna was also broken. The fence was displayed with sprayed graffiti over it and the cash register was toppled with muddy water thrown into the pool. The damage caused by these vandals was in thousands of dollars. Moreover, since it was closed for such a long time further disgrace by weeds, dirt and tall grass emerged from basketball courts and playground.  http://www.veooz.com/news/KHFsYWF.html

This 1500acre neighborhood with 850 families made this pool the heart of the community for up to 42 years and then it was trashed with such severity. Families loved spending time here because of the beautiful park, kids playing basketball or volleyball, teens working for part-time jobs, family reunions chattering and laughing and the children swimming in the Z-shaped pool. It was delightfully adorned with attractive colors that must have been painted by excellent painters in ColoradoSprings. The savior of the pool went to specifically mention that this is the place where sentiments are born and it’s more than just a pool for all. http://gazette.com/side-streets-colorado-springs-woman-rescues-community-swimming-pool/article/1521264

The main problem was substantial amount of cash needed to cover all the expenses of the damage caused so Jacque only focused on the important things that needed fixing and ignored the rest such as linear replacement. The cleaning and patching of the pool was done at a cost but no Colorado painters were involved for painting the premises, rather she all did it by herself. It was a surprise for everyone to see her working out this task effectively as being a full-time employed person as well. Most of her problems were solved after she outsourced the management for the pool. The pool is scheduled to open after the Memorial Day and Thurman has offered a discounted membership for families exclusively for the season which will end Labor Day weekend.
